Our broad spectrum CBD hemp oil comes from plants grown in the fresh air and natural sunlight on a certified organic farm in Oregon. Each batch is tested for contaminants and precise quantification of constituents and terpenes, including ensuring the final oil is THC-free.

CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It is an extract derived from hemp flowers and leaves. As an active ingredient, CBD binds to the endocannabinoid receptors in the immune and nervous systems. Its actions range from anti-inflammatory and antioxidant to anti-stress.

The potent results seen with CBD can be attributed to its effect as an adaptogen, or substance that promotes homeostasis. It promotes well-being and works as an anti-oxidant reversing damage from pollution and toxins. It also has positive effects on inflammation and the chronic stress related to our busy, modern lives. CBD is best in combination with other naturally occurring plant constituents in hemp.

CBD and THC have different chemical structures meaning they have different effects. THC has a euphoric or intoxicating effect. THC is also regulated under state medical or recreational cannabis laws. CBD is non-intoxicating. It is regulated under the Federal Farm Bill and is legal in all 50 states. The CBD in Halcyon Botanics products comes from organic hemp plants that have zero THC.

There are many health and wellness applications of CBD. It appears to have a down-regulating effect on disordered thinking and anxiety. It is also anti-inflammatory, pain relieving, and neuroprotective.
